Friday Figures- Posing and Reposing.

After a long night of doing whatever models do after dark, she curled up on a pile of cushions and crumpled satin raiments, and slumbered untroubled in a roomful of searching eyes, sleeping through the tiny scribbling sounds of charcoal, pencils and brushes wielded by a dozen artful, earnest, energetic Oklahomans. 24" x 19" charcoal and white compressed charcoal on Canson toned paper. 2 hour pose (1 of two drawings).

Our model came in looking a bit spent and heavy-lidded; after shedding her robe she was glad to curl up and take a powder for two hours, while we who wielded the art supplies went straight to work. She never moved, didn’t snore, and ended her pose looking rested and more luminous than when she began it.

Happy Friday.
